Another spokesperson commented that the weather is monitored constantly in an effort to ensure all aspects of the building are secure. Weather is more powerful than man! A full maintenance programme is now scheduled for the spring.

There ends our brief excursion through St Sophia’s Cathedral. Now seems like the moment to add many of the photographs from my stay in Kiev between October 2001 and April 2004. Most of the images are from the spring of 2002. This was quite an experience for a Scottish country boy. Kiev is similar to Rome, built on seven hills. Flight time from Amsterdam is 2 hours and 40 minutes. If you like cities and 24 hour action I suspect there is no better value in Europe. ласкава просимо Lackava prosimo.
