MAKING CONNECTIONS

During the Middle Ages monks on their way to Rome via Switzerland, were often ordered to wear a blindfold, so as not to be tempted by the beauty of nature. Men and women trying to impose their will on others is nothing new.

If you have noticed my appreciation of Leo Tolstoy in previous articles you will also probably be aware of his best-known work, the novel, ‘War and Peace’, published in 1869. The story takes place mainly in Russia during the early 19th century, against the background of the Napoleonic Wars. Tolstoy quite bluntly characterised war as, state sanctioned murder. While western mainstream media continue to hysterically condemn Russia for its intervention in ‘The Ukrainian Civil War’, this article will connect certain historical information, including a look at the Khazars who inhabited that area over 1000 years ago, speculate whether this is another stage of one of the longest running conflicts on earth and also briefly explore the possibility of an extra dimension few even imagine.   

I read War and Peace while in Crimea. It was autumn 2007, a wonderfully tranquil time. We were making some domestic renovation that included rebuilding the paichka, the wood-burning stove, my first experience of brick-laying. Having by that time already lived for 6 years in Ukraine, my awareness was that, certainly in the capital Kiev, Russian language was still widely spoken. As the nights began to lengthen I decided it was time to explore some classic Russian literature and bought War and Peace, Brothers Karamazov and some short stories by Chekov, albeit in English language.

Natasha Rostova is generally recognised as the main female character in War and Peace. The story begins with preparations for a party to celebrate her name day. Name days are a tradition maintained in Russia and Ukraine to this day. Every day is somebody’s name day. It’s like a second birthday. The one I best remember is Catherine’s day on 6^th December. In 2004 I was among a small number of guests invited by Tatiana to her daughter Catherine’s name day celebration. The party took place in a small Soviet built village house near Nikolaev/Mykolaiv in southern Ukraine. Beautiful humble people, generous and warm-hearted. Russian speaking Ukrainians.

My enthusiasm for the story gathered momentum so rapidly that within a few days my partner at that time, coincidentally also named Natasha, decided to re-read the book, which she, like all children during the Soviet period, had read at school. It is perhaps a measure of Tolstoy’s stature and credibility, that his magnum opus was part of the Soviet school curriculum, despite the fact he was a member of the Russian aristocracy. This probably also shows us what we now know for certain, that despite the Bolsheviks best efforts to destroy Russian heritage and culture, they were not successful.

Without wishing to spoil the story for those of you who have not yet read the book, but might in the future, there are many dramatic moments, from Dolokhoff on the window ledge, to Petya’s involvement in the ambush of the French, but perhaps the most moving of all is the climax of Natasha’s romance with Andrei Bolkonsky. While many view Natasha as the book’s heroine, and there is no doubt that she is the central female character, later I began to reflect that the female character who most epitomised the finest human qualities that include, humility, gratitude, patience, generosity and love was Maria Bolkonskaya.

Another aspect of ‘War and Peace’ is Tolstoy’s positive portrayal of the Russian aristocracy. In support of that view, the website, Stolen History, recently highlighted fresh research, that portrays the reign of Nicholas II, the last Romanov Tsar, in a more favourable light than has tended to have been previously presented by Western mainstream sources. Professor Antony C Sutton reported that, at the time of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, Russia was at least on par with the United States economically and technologically. At that time it is also recorded that Russia was the world’s largest grain producing nation.

For centuries the territory we currently call Russia, has been subject to numerous conflicts. Threats and attacks have come from all different directions. Nowadays foreign powers, especially the United States and its allies, covet the natural resources of the largest geographic nation on earth. Internet access has made more people aware of the work of Antony Sutton. His meticulous research of US State Department records reveal that Wall Street bankers with the knowledge of several western governments including, American and British, financed one of the most vicious attacks, the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution and the murder of Tsar Nicholas II and his family.

It would be naÏve of us to imagine that today, nobody in the upper echelons of Russian society is aware of exactly who instigated a revolution that came close to completely destroying their cultural heritage. Ironically, had it not been for the Nazi invasion in 1941, the Russian Orthodox Church might have been destroyed completely, but Stalin was forced to seek church assistance motivating the people to defeat the Nazis. There are probably more than a few in Russia still tempted to exact revenge for the revolution and others have an interest in regaining full sovereignty. That sovereignty has come much closer in recent days with the announcement that payments for Russian natural gas will now only be accepted in rubles. Given that all nations on earth pay for their oil in US dollars, de facto none have full sovereignty, and all nations on earth are cumulatively the 51st state of the USA.

Sutton writes that in 1916 Leon Trotsky arrived penniless in New York City. He lived in a deluxe apartment, with no regular employment. The following year he departed for St Petersburg, with $10,000 to play his part in the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution. A US Senate Committee investigating German finances in the US touched on the subject of Trotsky’s funding. Sutton comments, “It is quite remarkable that the committee adjourned abruptly before the source of Trotsky’s funds could be placed into the Senate record. When questioning resumed the next day, Trotsky and his $10,000 were no longer of interest to the Overman Committee.”

Trotsky or Lev Bronstein as he was originally known, was born 1879 in what is currently south Ukraine. His early family life in the Jewish community is portrayed as relatively affluent. By the age of 30 he was politically active. His Wikipedia article states, “The 1910s were a period of heightened tension within the RSDLP, leading to numerous frictions between Trotsky, the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks. The most serious disagreement that Trotsky and the Mensheviks had with Lenin at the time was over the issue of “expropriations” i.e., armed robbery of banks and other companies by Bolshevik groups to procure money for the Party. These actions had been banned by the 5th Congress, but were continued by the Bolsheviks.”       

In Vienna, Trotsky continuously published articles in radical Russian and Ukrainian newspapers, such as Kievskaya Mysl, under a variety of pseudonyms, often using “Antid Oto. ‘Oto’ is an interesting pseudonym as the initials coincide with ‘OTO’ Ordo Templi Orientis the ‘secret’ occult organisation intertwined with Freemasonry.

The ‘Red Terror’ began in 1918 and lasted for almost 4 years. An assassination attempt on Vladimir Lenin is alleged to have been a trigger. Regarding the Red Terror, Trotsky wrote: The bourgeoisie today is a falling class… We are forced to tear it off, to chop it away. The Red Terror is a weapon utilized against a class, doomed to destruction, which does not wish to perish. If the White Terror can only retard the historical rise of the proletariat, the Red Terror hastens the destruction of the bourgeoisie.

Vladimir Cherniaev, a leading Russian historian, sums up Trotsky’s main contributions to the Russian Revolution: Trotsky bears a great deal of responsibility both for the victory of the Red Army in the civil war, and for the establishment of a one-party authoritarian state with its apparatus for ruthlessly suppressing dissent… He was an ideologist and practitioner of the Red Terror. He despised “bourgeois democracy”; he believed that spinelessness and soft-heartedness would destroy the revolution, and that the suppression of the propertied classes and political opponents would clear the historical arena for socialism. He was the initiator of concentration camps, compulsory “labour camps”, and the militarization of labour, and the state takeover of trade unions. Trotsky was implicated in many practices which would become standard in the Stalin era, including summary executions

It is impossible to obtain a precise figure of those murdered during the ‘Red Terror’. The Wikipedia article estimates between 50,000 to 200,000 and refers to the deaths as executions. The best source document the author of the article could find to verify these numbers, is a book entitled ‘Red Victory, A History of the Russian Civil War’ written by an American academic W Bruce Lincoln, published in 1989.

The article also uses minor references from Russian historian Sergei P Melgunov’s, ‘Red Terror in Russia 1918-1923’. published in Berlin, 1924. Melgunov does not quote a total number for those murdered during that period. Rather he attempts to estimate the number murdered in each of the particularly grotesque incidents he has researched in detail. The description of events and methods of the ‘Che Ka’, the Bolshevik department charged with the genocide, are truly shocking.

Many suspect that German born, American Wall Street banker, Jacob Schiff, supplied the money to Trotsky. Schiff was already famous for funding the Japanese war effort against Russia in 1905. The Wikipedia article on Schiff states, “From his base on Wall Street, he was the foremost Jewish leader from 1880 to 1920 in what later became known as the “Schiff era”, grappling with all major Jewish issues and problems of the day, including the plight of Russian Jews under the Tsar, American and international antisemitism, care of needy Jewish immigrants, and the rise of Zionism.”  

The article is in general a glowing epitaph to a fine upstanding charitable man. There is no mention of financial support for the Bolshevik Revolution. The article does not conceal his resentment toward Russia where for centuries there had been periodic convulsions against the Jewish community. It is recorded that soon after the revolution he began to express opposition toward methods employed by the Bolsheviks.  

Further investigation reveals that Schiff and Trotsky were not the only characters from the Jewish community who played a significant role in the Bolshevik Revolution. From 1821 until 1906 there were frequent anti-Jewish pogroms in the Russian Empire mostly in the area now known as Ukraine. In 1903 Tolstoy was critical of a particularly brutal attack on the Kishinev Jewish community, the capital of modern day Moldova. Sutton emphasises his view that the revolution was not a Jewish conspiracy, rather, after almost a century of contention and animosity between Orthodox Christian Russians and Russian Jews it was hardly surprising that Jews were easily enlisted into the ranks of the Bolsheviks whose aim was to depose the Romanov Orthodox Christian dynasty. It is also an unpleasant reality for those who are quick to imply antisemitism that many Jews were guilty of what might be described as ‘eye for an eye’ atrocities against Orthodox Christians during implementation of the ‘Red Terror’.

It may just be coincidental but in 1820, the Society of Jesus, commonly known as the Jesuits, were expelled from Russia indefinitely by Tsar Alexander I. This was the third time they had been expelled from Russia; 1723, 1776 and 1820. In his book ‘Vatican Assassins’ Eric Jon Phelps writes; Jesuit Thomas J. Campbell, President of the Order’s Fordham University from 1885 to 1888 and again from 1896 to 1900, notes in his highly detailed history, The Jesuits, 1534 to 1921, that, between 1555 and 1921, the Order was expelled from at least eighty-three countries, states and cities for engaging in political intrigue, subversive plots and treason against the state. Surely they couldn’t all be wrong? Phelps also quotes the following statement from The Encyclopaedia Britannica Eleventh Edition, 1911 “The Roman Catholic church has always been, of course, the font of anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism was almost unknown in Tzarist Greek Catholic Russia until after the partitions in Poland in 1772 and 1795. Russian anti-Semitism was imbibed from Roman Catholic Poland. The Spanish ‘Holy’ Inquisition was founded to destroy the Jews in Spain.” The Society allegedly returned to Russia after the Bolshevik Revolution.

The 1815 Congress of Vienna, was concluded just days before Napoleon’s final defeat at Waterloo. Tsar Alexander I is generally viewed as one of the more conservative influences at that time standing in the way of attempts by the banking and mercantile class, including the Rothschild Family, to consolidate Europe. Relative peace, that is no major war, ensued for almost 100 years from the time of the Congress, until the beginning of WWI in 1914. During that time, on mainland Europe, revolutionary and political pressure groups were legion, their financiers difficult to ascertain.

An earlier data point to these events might be traced back 1500 years to the period when an ethnic group known as Khazars inhabited a geographic area straddling the current Ukraine Russia border, Caucasus, and northern shore of the Caspian Sea. Their origin is uncertain. Inevitably to some extent nomadic, as the area they occupied was largely steppe, they have been characterised as highly intelligent and resourceful but perhaps somewhat lacking in conscience. The majority of modern historians conclude that during the 8th century the Khazars adopted Judaism as their preferred collective faith at a time when organised religion was fashionable and had become highly profitable.

In a geographic area where there are few naturally defendable boundaries, whether by accident or intent, rather than struggle endlessly attempting to preserve their territory, the Khazars dispersed. Some argue their gradual decline and dispersal was forced, coinciding with the ascendancy of the Slavic people, and the conversion of their leader at that time, in 986, Vladimir the Great, to what is today, Orthodox Christianity. It is unlikely that both groups lived in harmony and herein may lie seeds of antipathy that continue sprouting to this day.

Wikipedia’s article on the Khazars states that the last mention of them as a distinctly defined ethnic group is in the 13th century. That is where the Khazar trail ends and they simply vanish into thin air. Wikipedia’s article on the Eastern and central European Ashkenazi Jewish community, one of the largest ethnic groups in modern Israel states, there is no connection between the Ashkenazi and the Khazars. DNA studies also seem to reveal there are few if any inhabitants of Israel with Khazarian heredity. Incredibly it seems as though the Khazars have so interbred as to have their gene diluted to the point it can no longer be reliably identified even by the most advanced modern scientific methods. There are no reports in the relevant Wikipedia articles of any DNA studies for Khazar ancestry among the modern United States communities, Jewish and otherwise.

Without much deeper investigation, we can only assume that the Khazars quietly melted away into different communities, but perhaps, not without a legacy. Some researchers speculate that they were a major influence in the development of the bureaucracy which in it’s early days was largely viewed with indifference by the landowners. Eventually these landowners would pay large fees to all manner of bureaucrats, to deal with constantly growing small print used to dissect our world into a multitude of chargeable fractions.

The most profitable bureaucratic operation is control of the banking system. Possibly one of the the most contentious subjects on earth is the question of usury, the charging of interest on money loaned. Scriptures teach that usury is against divine law, but this hasn’t discouraged man from doing so. For many, this single idea, provides a clear view of the extent to which our ‘civilisation’ has degenerated. Privately owned central banks charging compliant governments everywhere interest for printing these governments own national currencies continues unchallenged.

The Rothschild Family are widely recognised as one of the most obvious controllers of the Central Banking System. Their family history is somewhat similar to the history of the Khazars in that it is not easy to trace their origins. Some commentators go as far as to speculate that the Rothschild family originate from Khazaria.

Miles Mathis has an alternative novel theory that the Rothschild family originate from Scotland where their name is derived from two words, Rothes and child. He argues that John Leslie the 1^st Earl of Rothes who he alleges was a financial wizard, secretly sired a son who was sent to mainland Europe where eventually he began the Rothes Child dynasty. The Wikipedia article on John Leslie states that when he died at Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh on 27 July 1681. He was awarded a state funeral. The funeral procession was more elaborate and impressive than either Wellington’s or Churchill’s. It stretched over seventeen miles (27 km) long. The cost of whole regiments of ceremonial guards, soldiers, banners, trumpets, heralds and coaches effectively ruined the family finances forever, and he left behind a huge debt to his daughter, Margaret Leslie.   

One certain commonality between the Rothschild Family and the Khazars, is their association with Judaism. The Balfour Declaration issued by the British government in 1917 formalising Britain’s intent to support establishment of a Jewish homeland in, at that time, Ottoman Palestine, was addressed to Lord Rothschild. Initially it seems there was little enthusiasm among the international Jewish community to leave their established environments in favour of re-settling in Israel.

Antony Sutton explains in his book, ‘The Best Enemies Money Can Buy’, and in the interview with the same title here, that Nazi Germany was almost entirely developed by the support of US corporations. It is likely the main shareholders of these organisations who included the Rockefeller family, were involved in or at least connected with those motivated by the formation and development of Israel. During the last couple of years a high level criminal conspiracy has mislead large numbers of people to accept a dangerous and relatively ineffective medical procedure that previously they would have rejected. It is therefore a legitimate ‘critical thinking’ question, to ask what means the main investors in Israel, including Rothschild, used to persuade reluctant Jews to re-settle in the newly formed Middle Eastern Jewish homeland.

Resentment towards the Russian Empire not only came from Schiff but almost certainly from others in the growing United States Jewish community for reasons stated earlier in this article. A Wikipedia article entitled ‘Expulsions and Exoduses of the Jews’ provides a long list of incidents that have allegedly taken place over the last 2000 years. Neither the expulsions nor the exoduses are the type of reactions normally taken on a whim. It is documented that large numbers of East European Jews fled to the USA during the mid to late 1800’s where some have since gained enormous economic and political influence. Jacob Schiff is a prime example.

Returning to the present moment, it requires minimal investigation to discover that, Ukraine is currently governed by a President who was at the time of his election, the puppet of billionaire oligarch Igor Kolomoisky. Kolomoisky used his control of a major Ukrainian media channel to promote the current President and is well-known in Ukraine for using any means to defeat his rivals including violent strong-arm tactics. Not only are Ukrainian neo-Nazi groups financed by the billionaire but there are reports that the Biden Family are frequent recipients of Igor’s generosity.

Both Kolomoisky and the Ukrainian President openly express extreme aggression towards Russia. As well as supporting Ukrainian neo-Nazi groups, ironically, both men are members of the Ukrainian Jewish community. I didn’t discover any information on whether or not either man has any Khazar heredity. Kolomoisky was born in the city of Dnipropetrovsk, 250 miles south east of Kiev. Since 2014 the city is named Dnipro, when many locations had there names changed in a Ukrainian de-Russification process. Maybe Dnipro’s most unique feature is its 540,000 square foot Jewish Community Centre, the largest on the planet, named Menorah Cultural & Business Centre.

The extent to which Ukraine has been used for illegal activity since the end of the Soviet period is likely beyond our comprehension and would shock most of us. I caught a glimpse during my stay in Kiev between 2001-04, and am informed the situation has degenerated since. It is ironic but sadly typical of our world that the 2014 coup d’etat that was supposed to reduce corruption in Ukraine has probably done the opposite. This is not only the activity of blatant criminal groups but also so-called ‘legitimate business’. It is Russian strangling of what is almost certainly one of the fattest cash cows in the global black economy that has triggered such obvious panic and hysteria within the western establishment.

One of the first dark secrets to be revealed as a result of Russian intervention in the Ukrainian Civil War is the discovery of a network of US financed and operated biological research facilities likely capable of producing ‘weapons of mass destruction’. Their operations might already have committed crimes against humanity on the local population. Hunter Biden, son of the US President is heavily implicated in reports emerging on these internationally illegal activities.

In early March, Victoria Nuland, a senior US State Department official, confirmed the existence of these laboratories. She gained notoriety during the 2014 Maidan coup d’etat in Kiev with her leaked ‘fuck the EU’ telephone conversation, while discussing who the US would appoint as Ukrainian President after the coup. Also around that time she bragged that the US had invested $5bn to facilitate the coup. It is normal within that sphere for such a substantial investment to be made, only, on the basis of a guaranteed return, as opposed to the welfare of Ukrainian peasants. Nuland’s ancestry can apparently be traced to the Jewish community of Bessarabia, an area in south Ukraine near Odessa. Her grandfather fled in the early 1900’s to avoid persecution. It was obvious from her demeanour when participating in the 2014 coup and subsequent events in the region that she bears deep resentment toward Russia. Some allege that in the build up to the climax of the 2014 coup, she was the inspiration behind the pivotal moment when unidentified snipers killed more than 50 people. The incident was never credibly investigated. It is speculated that she is the controlling influence over the current Ukrainian government through her old ally from 2014, the right-wing extremist Dmytro Yarosh. The probability that she instigated the 2014 provocation inclines some commentators to predict that she will imminently authorise another false-flag with the aim of introducing heavyweight reinforcements to the Ukrainian army now on the verge of defeat. A chemical attack in Kiev is widely speculated.

Immediately after the coup d’etat it became apparent in our contact with family and friends in Ukraine and with friends in the local Crimean Tatar community that the Ukrainian mainstream media had begun presenting a fiercely pro-western anti-Russian viewpoint. Some of the raving propaganda was difficult to accept without reacting angrily but we shouldn’t have been surprised given the scale of financial investment and human effort to sow discord between neighbours who for centuries had by and large lived in harmony. I already mentioned in the article ‘Ukrainian Civil War 2014-?’, that as early as 2010 we were visited in Crimea by four young American women who had been working for the NGO, USAID in west Ukraine. They bragged about spreading anti-Russian propaganda and even managed to provoke an argument on the subject between my Russian speaking Ukrainian partner and her younger sister. Since the 1800’s the notion of immigrating to the United States of America was for many the ultimate dream. The American dream, is already for many a nightmare, as California, known as the ‘Golden State’ has become the world capital of homelessness and despair. David Martin explains very well in a presentation entitled ‘The American R/Evolution’ that while the newly formed republic had relieved itself of monarchy and despotic church, it left itself wide open to exploitation by the mercantile class. He goes on to present his theory of how the life insurance business has frightened and plundered the pilgrims to a point where the republic is now bankrupt. It could easily be argued that even the most degenerate monarch has more empathy with their subjects than those at the highest level of the business community who are primarily motivated by financial profit. Some commentators suggest that this was the plan all along for the United States. They speculate that Freemasonry was the major influence that deliberately facilitated a degenerate society. A small minority would then profit massively from constant social and economic chaos. It is alleged that the US capital, Washington DC was laid out using Freemasonic principles organised and funded by their brothers, the drug-dealing British East India Trading Company, UK banking cartel, the City of London.

Armenian mystic George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff was not a man easily taken by surprise. He was also renowned as a man capable of making money from all manner of unusual and spontaneous projects. In the 1920’s around the age of 50 he visited the United States for the first time. He was amazed by Americans’ fixation for money-making, which he termed ‘the dollar business’. During the last couple of years since the start of the covid crime I have watched many presentations by Americans, mostly wonderful people providing all manner of intelligent perspectives but even the most altruistic views seem to be intertwined with the dollar business. It also appears that almost the greatest insult you can aim at an American is to accuse them of wasting tax-payer dollars.

America has for many years made a huge financial contribution to Israel. Israel has received more US financial aid cumulatively than any other nation on earth. Allegedly the US pays Israel’s entire annual amount of financial aid immediately at the beginning of each year. No other recipient receives such prompt and complete payment. To obtain this level of assistance has obviously required much high-level influence and manipulation. AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) may be the most powerful lobbying group in the USA, consequently on earth. Powerful lobbying is that activity that renders democracy an illusion. It is alleged that AIPAC has almost complete control of the US Congress many of whom possess joint US/Israeli citizenship. Aside from ignoring United Nations declarations against Israel for their territorial indiscretions against the Palestinians, the US also chooses to turn a blind eye toward Israel’s failure to comply with international norms and openly declare their activity at the Dimona Nuclear Facility as exposed by Mordechai Vanunu.

After positing that all nations, ‘…are founded on acts of violence, which are then forgotten…’, the French historian and philosopher Ernest Renan further surmised that ‘forgetfulness, and historical error, are essential in [their creation]’. With the possible exception of its benefactor, patron, and minder, by Renan’s reckoning, few countries would ‘pass muster’ more decisively than Israel. Its very creation was built on terror and violence of the highest order, and its longevity has been sustained by same. That it still does is evident for all but the most myopic of history’s students and partisan of contemporary pundits. Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano belies his 80 years of age showing energy and zeal confronting not only those within the Catholic church who he is adamant are pursuing a Satanic agenda but all those he views as globalists intent on the destruction of basic human liberty. In 2004 Reverend Theodore Pike, leader of the American National Prayer Network and his wife Elizabeth Alynn, before her untimely death, narrated a video, in which they revealed their interpretation of Bible prophecy largely from the Book of Revelation. Is Russia fighting against globalism? After all, perhaps the globalists greatest potential gains on earth today are regime change in Russia and subsequent theft of that country’s natural resources. There are those who speculate Russia is simply fulfilling its role in the globalist grand plan in a constant state of theatre for the masses and that whatever the outcome of the current hostilities, the totalitarian aims of the tiny ruling minority will continue to be fulfilled.

There is no doubt, that had they wished, Russia could already have used their advanced military technology, that we have now seen in action, to have completely destroyed all of Ukraine’s cities weeks ago. Thankfully Russian leaders have shown us that they have a much less cynical attitude to war than leaders of the United States have demonstrated during and since WWII. More horrific are reports and images emerging from Mariupol that reveal brutal atrocities by US, Israeli and British trained Ukrainian neo-Nazi groups. Watch here, here and here. The Love and Wisdom section of this website includes references to the work of George Ivanovitch Gurdjieff. His best-known pupil was the Russian academic Pyotr Ouspensky who described his interactions with Gurdjieff in a book entitled, ‘In Search of the Miraculous, Fragments of an Unknown Teaching’. At one point in the book Gurdjieff is asked by a pupil about the possibility of becoming a Christian. Gurdjieff replies that there are no Christians, only those who imagine they would like to be, emphasising the remark by drawing attention to the difficulty in truly living by the precepts of Jesus.

This applies to every religion. True practitioners are rare, in general we are only aspirants. There is also a distinct difference between those who are genuine aspirants and those who attempt to use the cover of religious virtue as a camouflage for their crimes.

We can see that the current conflict in Ukraine is not an isolated incident as the opposing sides have origins in the region over 1000 years ago. Now rather than facing Khazaria the Russian Slavs and their allies are competing against Ukraine, a front for the international criminals promoting globalism that have largely taken control of our planet.

Some say, history has a habit of repeating itself. How to prevent the ruling establishment committing yet another genocidal crime to conceal their misdeeds? Those in power have through the centuries gone to extreme length to retain and expand the wealth and influence they obviously imagine is essential for their well-being. Ill-will against their fellow men and women is no barrier. Let us not forget the axiom, ‘as above, so below’. and remember that we all have a role to play if the circumstances of mankind have any possibility of improvement. To expect some miraculous intervention on our behalf is at best unrealistic. The collective karma we face can only be overturned by us all making our own individual effort and first of all remembering the greatest commandments.

Before ending this article, allow me to present a strange twist. We didn’t entirely resolve where the Khazars disappeared to. Maybe the best guess is that if their gene is still identifiable it will be found in the USA. Where they came from is even more shrouded in mystery. The Wikipedia article offers a range of possibilities, in my opinion, none are entirely correct.  

Two years ago, I decided to enliven my daily stroll through the Scottish seaside town of St Andrews by researching local incidents during the Protestant Reformation. The local Castle was a central point of action, and the first Scottish martyr of the Reformation was burnt at the stake in a street nearby. I also discovered interesting information from some other periods of Scottish history but the highlight was discovering William Comyns Beaumont.

“As far back as 1640, the German traveller Korte, after a complete topographical examination of the present Jerusalem, decided that it failed to coincide in any way with the city described by Josephus and the Scriptures. Claims that the tombs of patriarchs Ab’Ram, Isaac, and Jacob are buried under a mosque in Hebron possess no shred of evidence. The rock-cut sepulchres in the valleys of Jehoshaphat and Hinnom are of Roman period with late Greek inscriptions, and there exists nothing in groups of ruins at Petra, Sebaste, Baalbec, Palmyra or Damascus, or among the stone cities of the Haran, that are pre-Roman. Nothing in Jerusalem itself can be related to the Jews.”

Last summer I ventured into the English countryside. Strange given how many other places on earth I have been fortunate enough to visit, but other than a couple of visits to Glastonbury Tor I had seen little of neighbouring England. From departure I avoided modern highways instead opting to travel off the beaten track. I saw most of the English and Welsh coastline. An old business associate from Yorkshire frequently used the phrase “a blind man in a coal cellar could see that”, to emphasise how obvious something was. To me on that journey through England and Wales, I discovered a magical place, it felt like I had been missing the obvious for years. On the quiet country lanes in richly established countryside, it is easy to imagine ghosts of biblical events all around you. Such an island!

Rome’s obsession with these islands may be one of the best clues why, according to Comyns Beaumont, Britain, is the key to world history. In the Wikipedia article on Roman roads it appears that for its size Britain had the most extensive road network outside the Roman peninsula itself. What made Britain such a focus of attention that motivated such infrastructure investment? Why was that small group of islands at the extremity of the Empire with its unpredicatable climate of such importance? Was it because, as Comyns Beaumont alleges, Britain is where Christianity originates and that Rome was the child of Britain.

Most locals know that there are a mass of underground remains below the current City of Edinburgh. Are these the remains of the real biblical Jerusalem? Historic texts speak of Joppa, the port of Jerusalem. The city we currently know as Jerusalem is 779m above sea level and almost 70km from the shore where we are told Jaffa is the modern spelling of Joppa.

The City of Edinburgh lies at sea level on the Firth of Forth, a large estuary inlet from the North Sea. It has a seaside suburb named Joppa, 4 miles from the current city centre. According to Comyns Beaumont, the topography of modern Edinburgh corresponds exactly to the description of Jerusalem by Josephus the 1st Century Jewish historian and military leader. Comyns Beaumont proposes Edinburgh was completely destroyed in 136 AD with the slaughter of most, but not all, of its Jewish inhabitants. Maybe several centuries later some remnants of the survivors reached eastern Europe and became a component of the Khazars.

Was it the clue that inspired Comyns Beaumont?
