Geographic Parans are shown on the map as coloured lines
These are the most profound astrological phenomenon.

Largely overlooked by astrologers, Geographic Parans underpin all other astrological interpretations.

They represent the combined effect of any two major planets in our solar system.

These 140 mile/ 225km wide rings, range in flavour from harsh to harmonious.
We all have a unique map, calculated from our TIME, DATE, and PLACE of birth.

There are 45 major Parans, links to descriptions below. In the 1970’s, Location Astrology pioneer, Jim Lewis, attempted to summarise the effect of each Paran. While working on our own descriptions the notion arose that Jim had missed something.

Astrology uses 5 Major Aspects . These planetary combinations provide usually describe our individual behaviour with accuracy.

Conjunctions tend to benefit us but depending on the planets involved can be awkward. Sextiles and trines tend to promote ease and good fortune. Squares and oppositions tend toward obstacles and friction.

Close study of Jim Lewis’ interpretations, and personal and third party experience led us to conclude that each Geographic Paran contains the potential characteristics of all 5 aspects.

Knowledge of your Paran(s) at a given location, offers the possibility to consciously cultivate the positive tendencies. Lack of awareness of these possibilities will result in the more negative traits of mechanical behaviour. Even the Parans that apperar most favourable contain their traps.

Not all Parans occur within normally accessible latitudes.
Due to earth’s curvature, we tend to have fewer Parans nearer the equator.
Parans are identical in the northern and southern hemispheres.
